Dear Heart,
Today I write to you with an open mind. I have spent time and time again thinking upon my future and what it consists of. The friends, the family, and the life that I will have. It seems that a blessing to be able to condone the thoughts of this passtime. A dream I have yet to reach because I have not conquered what I have yet to become. But I often wonder, what does the future look like? Is the future some sight of a bright place where the dreams of our childhood come to life and display a film of happiness and everlasting spirit? Will I set sail across the Aegean Sea in hopes to find such a mythical place?
It is in chronological order that we are born, raised, and taught to be the people that we desire. With a world so big and our souls so small, it is often that we become lost. There is so much of the unknown not yet to be discovered. There are lost tails among many different cultures describing the various ways of life and dreams. The strange new succumbence that life is but a dream.
Everyday we wake up to a young and bright eyed tomorrow where we are expected to live with whatever costs we have been dealt. With every heartbreak, victory, betrayal,... surprise. Our hearts and minds make up something intellectual. A soul appears in front of us. What is it that this soul desires? Is it the passionate love from that of another? Is it to become infatuated with the ideas of our deepest darkest fantasies? Is it the long and aggravating search for the life that we KNOW we deserve?
My dearest hearts, I am unsure why I was placed on this earth. But something I do know is that it is nothing to be afraid of. With the obvious horrors and threats the world serves us it is not to betray us. It is to strengthen us and form us into support of ourselves. It is only you that can create a life, a dream, a desire, a fantasy, a day to remember forever.
I will set sail across the Aegean Sea in hopes to find such a mythical place. A place that will hold me true. A place that will bestow upon my friends a smile, a laugh,... an “I love you.” In the midst of the sea lies a crescent shaped island formed by a volcano. A mountainous structure threw up a bunch of hot molten lava and created a land so beautiful and lustful. This island is called Santorini (duh). And I am gonna go there someday.
With love,
Corissa
